Breakfast each morning was a delight with Stella our host freshly preparing dishes to try in addition to the buffet, she even packed food for us to eat later – fabulous! Good tavernas in surrounding villages. Very relaxing and enjoyable holiday with no sign of refugees anywhere on the island – we will be back!”

The 4 suited boutique hotel just South of Heraklion is a wonderful experience of Cretan hospitality due to Stella and Stellios Vergis who own and manage this jewel with a huge sense of graciousness and generosity. We were lucky to land in the Rafkos Balcony Suite which meant that our teenage son had his own space on a pull out sofa – we had ample additional space.”
